Born and raised in Oslo Norway, Marcus grew up in a culture that values harmony between the built and natural worlds. That sensibility traveled west with him to the University of Utah and eventually to GYDE.

What pulls him to the work

Marcus believes design is something you feel as much as you see. He’s drawn to spaces that create belonging - thoughtfully and with intention. He believes simplicity is layered, resulting in detail.

Marcus brings soul-forward creativity, environmental sensitivity, and a sharp eye for detail. His work translates abstract ideas into grounded, human-centered design that honors landscape and culture.

Merging creativity with environmental responsibility. Designing spaces that feel calm, rich, and enduring while leaving a positive imprint on the places GYDE works.
