The throughline
Growing up in an Air Force family made Katherine adaptable by nature and deeply observant of place. Her connection to Jackson began during architecture school at Tulane, when a formative summer working between Grand Teton and Yellowstone reshaped how she understood scale, material honesty, and landscape.
What pulls her to the work
Katherine believes architecture quietly shapes how people live, feel, and connect. She’s drawn to the emotional experience of space and to projects that emerge from a deep understanding of context, constraints, and client intent. For her, rigor and joy belong together.
How she shapes GYDE
Katherine brings a refined design sensibility paired with deep technical skill. She leads with clarity, curiosity, and warmth, creating a process that is thoughtful, collaborative, and surprisingly fun. She sets a high design bar while keeping the work accessible and grounded.
